In 2011 the International Olympic Committee implemented testosterone testing to regulate any unfair advantage certain bodies may have in women’s sports. Athletes are tested on an ad hoc basis, and since this testing, the athletes “outed” as having too much testosterone have been women of color from the Global South. This class uses sports as an entry point to think through race, sex/gender, the Global South, and feminist anti-racist activism.
