Tigers and elephants are among the world’s best known and most threatened large mammals. We will discuss examples of projects conducted alongside Colby students, including a course that brought 16 students to Sri Lanka, and some of our work in Asia and Africa to highlight some of the key challenges—and opportunities—for conserving biological diversity in a rapidly changing world.
